Learn It! Experience It! Own it!

There exists a unique, very powerful method to learn team development skills - and only the strategic collaboration of SPENCER Solutions and Adventure Dynamics offers it.

It is a two-step process:

  • First, your leadership or work teams learn team-building and group problem-solving tools in a workshop or seminar setting;
  • In the second step, your team members actively use and experience what they've learned about leadership and teamwork in a series of dynamic, get-out-of-your chairs-and-play team exercises and challenges.

It's called Experiential Learning. Here is an example of how it works:

In one recent retreat held for the Spokane Regional Chamber of Commerce staff, SPENCER Solutions and Adventure Dynamics divided the attendees into groups of four for a team exercise called "Don't Spill the Beans." Each group had the same, non-competitive mission: holding only the corners of a large napkin, pick up from the floor the napkin with a plastic cup in the middle filled to the brim with coffee beans ... carry this combination to the far end of the room ... and then back again to their starting point on the floor ... without spilling a bean!

"It took pure, intensely focused teamwork on the part of every participant to successfully pull this off," an observer said. "To keep the napkin taut and level and not disturb the cup filled with beans, there was constant, careful balance-shifting, movement in coordination--and constant communication between the group's members as they strategized in real time how to get from here to there without spilling the beans!

"Sure, it might have seemed silly at first, but the participants quickly grasped the fact that, by applying the team tools, they could achieve what at first seemed to be a nearly impossible goal. Later, they elatedly shared their applied learning in a lively group session."

There you have it: a simple, fun, and yet powerful way to strengthen your workforce. First, Learn It; then, Experience It!

SPENCER Solutions and Adventure Dynamics will bring this unique experiential learning methodology to your corporate meeting, retreat, picnic, or other special company activity.

Employ this powerful way for your teams and key personnel to integrate and start using immediately at work exciting new team-building, problem-solving skills. For more information, contact SPENCER Solutions, or contact Adventure Dynamics at www.adventuredynamics.com.
